Our mental health services help women and girls who need extra help with psychosocial issues and areas of their performance that may be impaired or need rehabilitation. These services are community-based and individualized.
Our services supplement the psychotherapy component of a person’s mental health treatment by treating what happens inwardly, mentally, and emotionally. We offer medication management, group treatment, and individual therapy.
Our Mission: To provide opportunities for women and girls to enhance their mental health through assistance, education, and empowerment.
Our Vision: We firmly believe that, in addition to remission of mental symptoms, our customers’ quality of life must improve. As a result, our community-based approach is especially tailored to Functional Recovery, Social Recovery, and Mind + Body Wellness.”

Counselor
Hi, I’m Zena (she/her). I’m a Pennsylvania-based counselor specializing in crisis and trauma, addiction recovery, and whole-person healing. Born in Brooklyn, New York and now rooted in Pennsylvania, I bring cultural humility, big-city grit, and a grounded, steady presence to every session.
I hold a B.A. in Psychology, am a Pennsylvania Addiction Counselor Level II (PAC II) and Credentialed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC), and I’m completing graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University (specializations: Crisis & Trauma and Addiction Counseling). I’m also a Published Spoken Word Author, Ordained Minister, and Certified Master Coach, with additional certifications as a Mindfulness Master Practitioner and Master Coach from the Natura Training Institute of Natural Healing.
Professional background & advocacy: For over a several decade, I’ve supported homeless/under-housed individuals, people returning from incarceration, people living with HIV/AIDS, individuals with substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ youth, and people living with mental illness—setting goals, monitoring progress, coordinating referrals, and ensuring accurate documentation. I have 10+ years of crisis management and a strong record of connecting people to community-based resources that sustain stability.
Group work & facilitation: At a social services agency, I led weekly Wellness Management groups for clients with mental illness and co-occurring substance use. I also created “Recovery Through Writing” and facilitated groups like “Building Positive Relationships” and “Understanding What Causes Conflict in the Household,” using Motivational Interviewing and conflict-resolution strategies.
How I practice: I integrate CBT/DBT-informed skills, relapse-prevention, motivational work, and trauma-responsive care with mind–body–spirit practices (mindfulness, breathwork, grounding ritual). Sessions emphasize nervous-system regulation, healthy boundaries, and community supports, paced for safety while we address deeper patterns.
